Tickets are sold at the madrasa's ticket office — foreign visitors pay 50 MAD, with discounted rates for Moroccan residents and children (see below).

Other costs to budget for
Beyond the entrance ticket, a few optional extras are paid for elsewhere in the Medina — and prices are rarely fixed. Agree on one before you accept:
- Purchases from the artisan boutiques and souks around Place Ben Youssef
- Henna application or photos with performers near Jemaa el-Fnaa
- Mint tea or a snack at a nearby café
- Guided tours of the madrasa or wider Medina
